Family Flip House

HGTV just called. Our new television show is in early production. Move over, Chip and Jo!
All jokes aside, we just bought a flipper! It has been a few months since we started looking for the right property, and had a few setbacks, but we just closed on our first investment property. The VA, by the way, is a huge pain to deal with. That’s the government for you, amiright??

The house we bought is a little over 1800 square feet. It has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, an unfinished basement, and two stories. It has a few issues that need repaired but mainly just needs some major updating!

We took early possession and got to work immediately. We are lucky to have family that has came to help! We wouldn’t be as far along if it weren’t for that. I stay home with our kids, so our routine has been shook up a bit. It is so hard to balance homeschooling, household duties, and other projects- but that is a separate blog post for later! Throw a one year old in the mix and the challenges just grow!

I’ve had to take the kids with me a few times to work on the house! My girls take turns helping with the baby, but Finn (he’s 4) loves to work! All the kids proved to be a huge help when ripping up the flooring and hauling to the dumpster. It made this homeschooler’s heart happy to see them learning new life skills.
Stay tuned for more updates on our Flip House project!!
